Zaytuna Staff: Omar, Angela, and Gillian
Omar & Angela
After completing their Permaculture Design Certificate at Zaytuna Farm in 2022, Omar & Angela soon left city life behind with a caravan to gain hands-on experience on the land while searching for their future home. Their journey brought them back to Zaytuna, where they volunteered and eventually became shareholders, joining the intentional community. Their journey was driven by a desire to learn through hands on experience in sustainability and holistic wellbeing alongside their deep engagement with Traditional Islamic sciences.
Angela is a qualified Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner with passions for homesteading, holistic health, garden design, and animal keeping (especially chickens).
Omar is a qualified social worker supporting rough sleepers locally, with interests in practical landscaping for self-sufficiency, survival skills and tool usage.
Together, they bring a unique blend of permaculture, holistic health, social justice together with the understanding of our purpose as vicegerents of the earth.
