Marriage, relationships, and character
Ustadha Saara Sabbagh
Saara Sabbagh is the Founder and Chair of Benevolence Australia, a leading faith-based organisation supporting the spiritual and social wellbeing of Muslims in Australia. Over the past three decades, she has been a teacher, mentor, and community leader dedicated to making Islamic knowledge relevant and accessible.
Her foundation in Islamic studies began in Syria, where she studied under female scholars who shaped her understanding of faith, character, and service. Saara has worked across a wide range of community initiatives — including youth engagement, women’s development, and programs focused on character formation and spiritual growth.
She is also the co-creator of Good Beginnings, the first faith-based pre-marriage program of its kind, combining psychology, evidence-based practice, and Islamic principles to strengthen relationships and families.
