Muhammad Naushad
Born in a small village in northern Arabia, Naushad is nostalgic of the desert sand, the rain’s petrichor, and the sounds of a distant mosque. The mu’addhin’s mellifluous call to prayer would echo, “Come to Salah, Come to Success!”
Growing up as a third culture kid in the Middle East, South Asia, and Australia, then living in Jordan and Turkey for several years, he lived life as a local resident in multiple continents. His frequent travels to North America, Europe, and Nusantara as well as the Middle East, ensure that he is never lost in San Fran, Singapore, Spain, Saudi or Sydney! Yet, one thing remains certain, he feels most at home in Madinah.
While studying for an Accounting and Finance degree, he realised challenging the dominant paradigm requires traditional knowledge, ultimately changing ways to study Philosophy, Politics and Economics and the world at large. He is an educator and consultant having taught economics at La Trobe University, advised governments on education, and worked as a course convenor in English and Western intellectual thought in Australia and Turkey. He has founded and helped numerous community organisations, initiatives, and start-ups. He is a student of the sacred sciences, and currently teaches at Melbourne Muslim Seminary, Muslim Youth Association and at FirstPhilosophy.co.
In his spare time, he enjoys comedy and loves connecting like-minded people!
